dc 2.jpgWelcome to the 2020-2021 school year here at David Crockett Elementary! Our mission is to educate the whole child by promoting opportunities for all students to achieve their maximum potential in all aspects of life -- academic, social, emotional and physical -- while providing instruction and support to meet the needs of diverse learners in our school community.

The new David Crockett Elementary School opened in August of 2017 as one of three new elementary schools and a renovated facility to serve Marshall ISD students in grades K-5. The project was part of the Legacy 2017 building program born out of the passage of a $109,200,000.00 bond issue approved by MISD voters in May 2015. The consolidation of schools included the old Crockett along with the old Robert E. Lee Elementary, which closed in 2017 as the oldest elementary school in Marshall having served students since 1902.

Crockett achieved a second straight "C" rating from the Texas Education Agency following the 2018-2019 school year. The campus was also rated as "Met Standard" the last two years in the new facility. The campus serves as one of two bilingual campuses in MISD, along with William B. Travis Elementary.

School hours at Crockett are 7:50 a.m. to 3:21 p.m., Monday through Friday, during the school year. On designated Early Release days, students are dismissed at 12:20 p.m. Thank you for your support of our students, and we invite you to stop by and visit our campus or contact us at any time if you have questions.
